began in
1913 as a Sunday School, meeting in a dwelling house and was
known as “Happy Hollow Sunday School. The church was
organized on September 7, 1919 and was named East Sanford
Baptist Church. The church joined the Sandy Creek Baptist
Association in 1920. Throughout the years, God has used various
men and women of this community to reach the people with the
gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. The church established a
Hispanic ministry in April of 1999.
